The Upgrade building allows players to increase the strength of their streamers, and the effectiveness of their pets by giving them extra stars. Streamers and pets can both hold stars; heroes can hold up to 12 stars, while pets can hold up to 9 stars. In effect, these stars increase the streamer’s stat-attributes, making them better in combat, and increase the pet’s passive buffs, making them more helpful to the player.
To upgrade streamers or pets, players must disenchant four streamers or pets with the same number of stars, and from the same faction, to give another streamer or pet a star. The process rewards the player with Gems as well as streamer dust or pet dust. Moreover, sacrificing streamers counts towards the Upgrade Event that issues rewards for upgrading a specific number of streamers.

Streamer dust is a currency used to level up streamers in the Level Up building. Players create it by sacrificing streamers in the Upgrade building, where they are converted into streamer dust. Streamer dust is the byproduct of upgrading streamers, and players earn additional streamer dust by sacrificing streamers of higher quality.
Disenchanted pets are converted into pet dust, which is a magical currency that is used to level up pets. Pet dust is the byproduct of upgrading pets. Players can receive additional pet dust for disenchanting higher level pets.
Every week, players can complete the Upgrade Event by upgrading their streamers. Every upgrade results in 5 upgrade points. Players are rewarded different rewards for completing different tiers of the Upgrade Event. Players can see their progress towards the next tier of the event in the bottom of the screen, along with the associated reward(s) after completing the tier.
Players can also upgrade event artifacts in the upgrade building. This option does not become available until players have at least 5 event artifacts that share the same faction and rarity. When players upgrade an event artifact, the top event artifact moves up one rarity, increasing the percentage chance of the ability activating for the streamer in battle.
